Peterbilt Successor series
1987 through 2007
Fiberglass hood Conventionals and steel butterfly hoods
In late 1986 Peterbilt introduced a new series of conventionals that would replace the 1100/359 series. The Successors, or 379 Family debuted with the 379, 378, 357, 377, 385, 376, 335 (replaced the 330) the latest in the family is the 386.

The 387 eventually replaced the 377

For 2006 the latest Peterbilt is the 386, a combination of the classic cab and the aerodynamics of the 387's hood and fenders. This would look great with cab mounted mufflers and pipes. The now-unavailable 1 piece windshield would look perfect on this.
